@thebeastisback Here’s the Godzilla thing I was talking about. I’m guessing it’s from a bigger playset or something.
Garage Sale book find #2: “Donald Duck in Disneyland.” Illustrated by the Walt Disney Studio, 1960. This is one of 3 Donald Duck/Disneyland books I found today, all for 50 cents each.
Garage sale book find #1: “Let’s give a Party” illustrated by Joanne Nigro. I absolutely love the illustrations in this book. I’m not familiar with Joanne, but her illustrations are fantastic. What’s funny is that this book is basically an ad for Jell-O (there’s even a recipe for it in the back).
Struck Roger Bradfield gold today at the antique store. Especially excited to have found Pickle-Chiffon Pie.
My favorite of my pop-up book collection, “Pop-Up Hide and Seek.” It was done by Graphics International (under the guidance of Ib Penick) for Random House. It doesn’t have a date on it but I’m guessing its from around the 60’s.
Just came across this great little robot guy, while going through a box of building blocks that we picked up at a garage sale last summer. I don’t know how I overlooked this gem, but the markings on him say, “1978 Wilton Woodridge, IL.”
